A tree has been handcarved and applied to the cover of this large scrapbook album. Smooth olive green lambskin has been stretched over the design, one inch at a time with archival glue, and fit tightly into all the grooves with small hand tools. Thirty individual copper leaves have been cut & sanded, then wired onto the angled leaf surfaces. Multi-color finishes have been created on the copper leaves with the use of ketchup, lemon juice, & salt. Handmade burgundy banana leaf paper has been applied to the inner covers as scrapbook endsheets. The headbands, stitched directly into the spine edges, are comprised of leather cords wrapped with green and burgundy thread. The scrapbook's cover hinges are reinforced with 55 lb tensile strength fabric, both under the leather and under the coversheets, to ensure heirloom strength and quality. Multi-colored acid-free pages are bound into the album, handsewn around the three binding cords seen under the smooth brown spine leather. Accents of four addition front cover leathers feature suede green lambskin, suede pigskin, suede cowhide, and smooth burgundy deerskin. Each scrapbook page has been handripped to create a curved deckled edge. Curved copper wires accent the design. Acid-free photo mounts are provided so the scrapbook album is ready to fill.
